MLS Soccer News: Columbus Crew SC today announced it has signed Graham “Skamzz” Ellix and Nenad Stojkovic as the club’s first esports competitors.
In January of this year, MLS launched eMLS, a new league for EA SPORTS™ FIFA 18. 19 MLS teams, including Columbus Crew SC, will participate, with each team selecting a competitor to represent them.

The 30-year old is the former 2010 FIFA Interactive World Champion and is the only U.S. FIFA World Champion in history. Stojkovic was also a quarterfinalist in the 2011 FIFA Interactive eWorld Cup and provided commentary for the 2012 edition of the same tournament. Outside of gaming, Stojkovic played Division I soccer at Cleveland State University.
Ellix and Stojkovic will play each other in the Crew SC Gamer Playoff Event to determine who will represent the Black & Gold at the inaugural eMLS Cup set to take place at PAX East in Boston this April. The Crew SC Gamer Playoff Event will take place at the Microsoft Store in Easton Town Center (160 Easton Square Pl, Columbus) on Monday, March 5 at 6:00 p.m. ET. Supporters are able to attend and watch the playoff matches live in-person.

The first eMLS Cup this April will see players compete for a berth in the EA SPORTS FIFA 18 Global Series Playoff and a chance to become the FIFA 18 World Champion at the FIFA eWorld Cup 2018 in August.
