2016 FIFA Futsal World Cup Recap and Preview
The third day of the eighth edition of the FIFA Futsal World Cup prepares to kick off following an intense set of matches taking place on Sunday in Bucaramanga and Cali. Argentina takes on Kazakhstan with kickoff set for 7:00 p.m. ET, while Iran face Spain at 9:00 p.m. ET.
Futsal News: The second day of the 2016 FIFA Futsal World Cup comes to a close as Day 3 action gears up in Bucaramanga and Medellín.
Day 2 Recap
Mozambique and Australia kicked off Day 2 with an intense matchup at Coliseo Bicentenario in Bucaramanga. Both sides shared possession and goal-scoring opportunities, but a disciplined Australian side was able to come out of the day with a 3-2 win.

Vietnam topped Guatemala in a 4-2 victory at Coliseo El Pueblo in Cali. Vietnam’s Minh Tri Nguyen recorded a hat-trick to give his side an opening victory.

Defending champions Brazil opened up the tournament with a 3-1 win over Ukraine. Captain Falcão tallied one goal on the night along with Rodrigo. Ukraine’s Oleksandr Sorokin scored an own goal to bring Brazil’s tally to three goals.

The final match of the day featured Paraguay taking on Italy in Cali. Paraguay kicked off the match combatting a strong Italian side that created multiple chances in the first half. Paraguay went into halftime up 2-1, but a second-half surge by Italy gave them a 4-2 victory.

Day 3 Preview
Solomon Islands face Costa Rica in the opening Group E match at 7:00 p.m. ET at Coliseo Bicentenario in Bucaramanga.
The second match will see a Group F matchup between Morocco and Azerbaijan at 7:00 p.m. ET at Coliseo Iván De Beodut in Medellín.
Argentina will take on Kazakhstan in the second Group E match with kickoff set for 9:00 p.m. ET in Bucaramanga.
The final match of the day will feature Iran and Spain of Group F with kickoff at 9:00 p.m. ET.
