2016 FIFA Futsal World Cup Recap and Preview
The second week of the 2016 FIFA Futsal World Cup prepares to kick off following an intense set of matches taking place on Friday in Cali and Medellín. Australia take on Ukraine at 5:00 p.m. ET, while Italy face Vietnam with kickoff set for 7:00 p.m. ET.

Day 7 Recap
Thailand kicked off Day 7 with a 2-1 victory over Egypt in the first Group B matchup of the day. Jirawat Sornwichian tallied one goal for Thailand, along with an own goal by Egypt’s Ibrahim Eika to give them the three points.

Russia edged Cuba in a dominating 7-1 victory in the second Group B matchup in Cali. Russia were led by seven individual scores to notch their third win of the tournament and book their ticket to the Round of 16.

Colombia topped Panama in a competitive 3-2 victory at Coliseo el Pueblo in Cali. The hosts finish with two draws and a win as they advance to the knockout round of the tournament.

The final match of the day saw Portugal defeat Uzbekistan in a 5-1 win in the second Group A match of the day. Portugal advance to the Round of 16 finishing with two wins and a draw in group play.

Day 7 Preview
Australia face Ukraine in the first Group D match of the day with kickoff set for 5:00 p.m. ET in Buacaramanga.
The second Group D match will see Brazil take on Mozambique at 5:00 p.m. ET at Coliseo el Pueblo in Cali.
Guatemala take on Paraguay in the first Group C match with kickoff set for 7:00 p.m. ET in Cali.
The final match of the day will feature Italy and Vietnam of Group C with kickoff at 7:00 p.m. ET.
