FIFA Executive Committee Member, Moya Dodd, to Speak at Coaches of Women’s Soccer Breakfast
Soccer News: Moya Dodd, FIFA Executive Committee member and vice president of the Asian Football Confederation, will be the featured speaker at the Coaches of Women’s Soccer Breakfast at the 2016 NSCAA Convention.
The breakfast will be Saturday, Jan. 16 at 8 a.m. at the Holiday Ballroom at the Hilton Baltimore Hotel. It will recognize the accomplishments and dedicated service of coaches of women and is a part of the NSCAA Convention, held Jan. 13-17 at the Baltimore Convention Center.
Dodd has been involved with developing women’s soccer in her home country of Australia and around the world for more than 30 years. She was a member and former vice captain of the Australian Women’s National Team from 1985-95. She is currently a partner at the law firm of Gilbert + Tobin, providing strategic legal and regulatory advice in telecommunications and media sectors.
In January 2012, Dodd was named a member of FIFA’s Legal Committee. Then in June 2013, she was appointed to the FIFA Executive Committee, one of three women on the 27-person committee.
In addition to her work with FIFA, Dodd is an Executive Committee member for the Asian Football Confederation and director of Football Federation Australia, working in both positions since 2007.
Those wishing to attend the Coaches of Women’s Soccer Breakfast will need to purchase tickets during the Convention registration process. Tickets will also be available for purchase on site at the Convention registration desk.
