Kyle Martino Opens Up About His Divorce on “The Cooligans”
Always fun to get a behind the scene look at one of America’s famous soccer stars, here is the scoop on the upcoming episode of “The Cooligans.”
Former MLS star and midfielder for the Columbus Crew and LA Galaxy, Kyle Martino, sat down with “The Cooligans” this week on fubo Sports Network to talk about his divorce with actress Eva Amurri (Californication, Saved).
You might remember Martino also for his run for president of U.S. Soccer. While this former US Men’s National Team star turned NBC Sports Analyst did not win the presidency and has often referred to it as losing the biggest game of his life, Martino is a fixture in the American soccer world and an influencer.
As a former pro with big aspirations, Martino is also usually a private man.
” I could put on an act and act like everything was okay … “

In this special upcoming episode of “The Cooligans”, Martino opens up and talks about why being married to Eva Amurri (who may not be a household name but her mom Susan Saradon is) was not the role model of marriage he wanted for his kids.
You may recall they announced their divorce while Eva was pregnant with their 3rd child, and are currently quarantining together.
“She was there to save my life.”

Kyle Martino met his wife after a career-ending injury and accordingly, they took care of saving each other. After trying really hard to make it work, the couple ended up in divorce but they made this decision based on love. Check out the clip below.
The full episode and interview stream free on fubo Sports Network on Thursday, May 28th at 8 PM PT/ET.
Martino is also a big fan of youth soccer and kids playing street soccer. The man who was named MLS rookie of the year in 2002 now is the National Board Chair of soccer-for-social change nonprofit, Street Soccer USA.
Will this be in this episode? Tune in to find out what Martino has to say.
