Eintracht Frankfurt Joins Heavy Hitter List of Dallas Cup Super Group
Youth soccer tournament news: Eintracht Frankfurt will join a group of prestigious international clubs competing in Dr Pepper Dallas Cup’s Gordon Jago Super Group this summer. Manchester United, Everton and Liga MX’s Tigres will be joining a total of three MLS Academies set to play in the elite group.

Youth Soccer News: The Dr Pepper Dallas Cup has announced Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt will replace Fluminense who was forced to withdraw due to financial restrictions in the elite tournament’s 2017 Gordon Jago Super Group.
Dallas Cup XXXVIII will be the eleventh occasion Eintracht Frankfurt will compete in the Gordon Jago Super Group, and the club’s 20th Dallas Cup appearance overall. The club was named co-champions of the Gordon Jago Super Group title in 2011 after weather conditions halted the championship match versus Tigres short.
In previous weeks, it was announced that the U15 Eintracht Frankfurt team will be competing at Dr Pepper Dallas Cup. The U15 side looks to three-peat in their age bracket after claiming the U15 title in 2015 and 2016. Dr Pepper Dallas Cup, along with FC Dallas, co-hosts the Generation adidas Cup, the annual U17 MLS Developmental Academy tournament. The U17 Eintracht Frankfurt squad will be competing in the tournament this April at the Toyota Soccer Center in Frisco.
Eintracht Frankfurt joins English Premier League sides Manchester United and Everton to become the third European club joining this year’s Super Group. Liga MX champions Tigres, Israeli club Maccabi Haifa, Brazilian power Coritiba, and a trio of MLS academy teams will round out the group. In total, seven countries and four continents are represented in the Gordon Jago Super Group.
