Lesle Gallimore Leadership On and Off the Field
Amazing coaches are rare and even more rare are amazing women coaches. Lesle Gallimore is one of the top coaches in America and now takes on the responsibility of assisting with the US Soccer U23 Women’s National Team.
Soccer News: University of Washington women’s soccer head coach Lesle Gallimore continues her involvement with U.S. Soccer, as she is assisting at the U.S. U-23 Women’s National Team camp in Carson, California.

“I’m excited to have the opportunity to be with some of our best and brightest rising U.S. soccer stars,” Gallimore said. “I always enjoy learning from and working alongside Janet Rayfield, and the U-23 age group provides a great training ground for NWSL rookies and upperclasswomen in the college ranks who are vying to become professionals and trying to get the to full USWNT squad.”
The camp will run Jan. 18-25 and will end with a closed-door scrimmage against Ireland’s full National Team.
Gallimore has served as an assistant to the full WNT and the U-19s, and is currently involved with the U-23 group. She began working with the Youth National Teams in 2002 and has worked on U.S. Soccer’s Coaching Education staff for three years. She worked at the U.S. Women’s Soccer Invitational camp in 2015.
