Sporting Gjøa Berg Bring the Boys-Under-15 Arch Cup Platinum Back to Brooklyn
New York Youth Soccer News: The soccer club is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year
Sporting Gjøa Berg of the Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League (CJSL) dethroned the defending champs, Hicksville Barca of the Long Island Junior Soccer League (LIJSL), 3-1, to win Boys-Under-15 Arch Cup Platinum on June 9 at the Peter Collins Soccer Park in Plainview.
Lucas Bourbon, Eero Phillips and Daniel Safian scored for the Brooklyn-based team.
Sporting Gjøa Berg coach Lee Kellett explained, “We won today because of our possession, playing the ball around and kept fighting until the end.”
