Can Jared Sagal’s New Videos For Youth Soccer Players Change The World?
Maybe – but at least these videos will get kids to listen and learn. In Your Face soccer videos enable critical lessons in soccer to come alive and become meaningful for kids in a memorable way.
SoccerToday is proud to partner with Jared Sagal to launch this new series and bring to youth players and coaches all across America.
One of the latest In Your Face Soccer episodes — and a great video for players of all ages. Effort and Attitude – What you can control.
Jared Sagal is passionate, and passionate about soccer. A former professional soccer player, Sagal played in Germany and Sweden after his collegiate soccer career at SMU. He is a private coach, a filmmaker and soccer entrepreneur.
Sagal recently kicked off a new and powerful series of videos for youth players. They are simply cool and an awesome way of delivering important messages which can inspire.
We are really excited to launch this series and wanted to know what inspired Sagal, so we asked:
My 9-year-old son, Brighton, almost always asks me after a match “Dad how’d I do?”
My response, usually when it didn’t go so well is;
“Do you really want the TRUTH?”
The seeds of In Your Face Soccer were planted from a series of tough but loving conversations that I’ve had with my son and with many of the players I’ve coached.
I found my own ‘truth’ after a brutally direct conversation with ICE T’s legendary manager Jorge Hinojosa. He helped me take my own advice: Put yourself out there, speak your truth and try to help. He said, “Give people short, intense bursts of useful soccer information so that parents, players, and coaches can get more reality and less BS.”
In Your Face Soccer is an anti-establishment approach to educational soccer.
Tips and coaching are delivered in short bursts with a Tony Robbins meets Howard Stern vibe. I believe that you get just as much out of short, smart and direct sessions than longer winded lectures.
Kids definitely prefer the short and sweet approach.
And besides, how much do you remember from long-winded lessons? My hope is that players can quickly watch an episode on their way to training, learn something meaningful and get inspired to improve.

I’ve learned a lot from coaches I’ve worked with and now it’s time to pass the knowledge on.
No one was more In Your Face than Schellas Hyndman, my college soccer coach at SMU. My work with Albert Puig, former Academy Director at the famed La Masia in Barcelona, was transformative. And, I learned about the importance of cognitive development from Holger Lindermann at Hertha Berlin and I am not sure where I would be without all the “coaching” I get from my brother Marc Sagal at Winning Mind.
Sagal lives in Beverly Hills, CA with his wife and two children. He is the creator of YOUTUBE’S most popular soccer series YOUNG RONALDO (40 million views +).
