Indy Eleven Set to Host NASL Championship Semifinal
Indy Eleven will play host for the NASL Championship’s Semifinal Round following a Spring Season win during the first half of the 2016 campaign. The Indianapolis club will claim either the first or second seed in the NASL’s four-team postseason tournament that will take place in November.
NASL Soccer News: In conjunction with the North American Soccer League, Indy Eleven has confirmed its home date in The Championship’s Semifinal Round will take place at IUPUI’s Carroll Stadium on Saturday, November 5. Kickoff for the first postseason match in the club’s three-year history is set for 3:00 p.m. ET.
In addition, “Indiana’s Team” announced that a potential home contest for The Championship Final the following weekend would take place at Carroll Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 12, with kickoff time to be determined at a later date.
The timeline for purchasing tickets for both rounds of The Championship is as follows:
- Monday, Aug. 15: Indy Eleven Full Season Ticket holders, Fall Season Ticket holders and Starting XI Flex Pack purchasers will get the first chance to secure tickets during a two-week exclusive window
- Monday, Aug. 29: Two-round packages will go on sale to the general public
- Monday, Sept. 19: Single-game tickets for The Championship Semifinal go on sale to the public
- Monday, Sept. 26: Single-game tickets for potential Final of The Championship go on sale to the general public.
Ticket pricing details for both the two-game postseason package and each individual game will be made available in the coming days here.
After winning the Spring Season in dramatic fashion on the final weekend in early June, Indy Eleven earned the right to host a Semifinal Round contest in The Championship and will claim either the #1- or #2-seed in the NASL’s four-team postseason tournament.
The Spring or Fall Season champion that has the most points during the 2016 Combined Season will earn the top seed – and have the inside track at hosting The Championship Final. The two teams with the most points in the Combined Season standings outside the Spring and Fall Season champions will earn the remaining two spots in The Championship. Stay tuned to Indy Eleven’s and NASL’s website in the coming months to track who will join the “Boys in Blue” this November.
