Youth Soccer News: Two Internationals SC standouts, defender Sydney Dawson and forward Jordan Brewster, received a call-up by the U.S. U20 Women’s National Team for a training camp held at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center in San Diego last week.
“Jordan and Sydney’s call up to the U20 WNT camp is exciting news for our club,” Internationals SC President and Founder Zdravko Popovic commented. “Both players have been competing well in ECNL events and training hard throughout the year. We are extremely proud of their accomplishments and excited to see their hard work paying off. Their commitment to the club and their personal development is inspiring and we will continue to provide a challenging environment for them as they continue on their journey toward excellence.”
New head coach Jitka Klimkova called up a total of 24 players for her first training camp. This age group opened the cycle with three games in La Manga, Spain, in late February and early March, defeating Norway 8-2, losing to Germany 2-1 and defeating France 2-0.
