Los Angeles FC Looks to Future
LAFC are looking to the future as the development of its new stadium is underway. The club also announced its partnership with Orange County Blues FC of the USL, which will connect its pipeline from the youth to professional level.
Soccer News: Los Angeles FC entered a significant chapter in construction of Banc of California Stadium last week as the first concrete of the foundation was poured.
After several weeks of demolition, construction workers and LAFC owners gathered to pour the initial 1,300 cubic yards of concrete, marking the beginning of the stadium’s next phase of development.
As part of LAFC’s dedication to keeping its fans and stakeholders involved throughout every step of the stadium development process, two original supporters were selected to witness the first concrete pour.
New USL Partnership
Last week LAFC also announced a multi-year partnership with the USL‘s Orange County Blues FC. The agreement will expand player development and create a pathway for top-class players competing at MLS and USL levels.
With LAFC set to take the pitch in 2018, the partnership will allow the club to loan players to Orange County as soon as 2017 and provide fans the opportunity to see some of LAFC’s future MLS stars on display in Orange County.
