Concacaf 2020 SCCL Awards
LAFC’s Diego Palacios Receives the Honor of the 2020 SCCL Best Young Player Award. Tigres FW Andre-Pierre Gignac has earned the Scotiabank Golden Ball and his teammate Nahuel Guzman was named the winner of the 2020 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League’s Allstate Golden Glove.
Diego Palacios was selected on Tuesday as the recipient of the Scotiabank Best Young Player Award as the 2020 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League’s best young player.
The 21-year-old Los Angeles FC DF appeared in all five of LAFC’s 2020 SCCL matches in helping the MLS side reach the Final in their first SCCL appearance.

Jonathan Gonzalez, Monterrey earned this honor last year and Rodolfo Pizarro, Chivas claimed it in 2018.
2020 SCCL Golden Ball
Tigres FW Andre-Pierre Gignac has earned the Scotiabank Golden Ball award after finishing as the top scorer in the 2020 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League with six goals.
The French striker consistently found the back of the net for the Felinos during the tournament, scoring two goals in the Round of 16, a goal in the Quarterfinals, two goals in the Semifinal round and the winning score in the Final.
Enner Valencia, from Tigres earned this honor in 2019.
2020 SCCL Golden Glove
Nahuel Guzman was named the winner of the 2020 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League’s Allstate Golden Glove award after helping Tigres to a 2-1 victory over Los Angeles FC in the 2020 SCCL Final.
The Argentine GK started all six of Tigres’ 2020 SCCL matches and allowed just five goals, while registering three clean sheets.
Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League Fair Play Award
Tigres have earned the 2020 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League Fair Play Award in recognition of the exemplary behavior that promoted the spirit of fair play and compassion in Concacaf competition.
