Liverpool FC Foundation Host Junior Soccer Clinic in San Francisco
The Liverpool FC Foundation is the official charity of Liverpool Football Club that is dedicated to raising funds, developing partnerships and delivering programs that help people to become healthier, improve their life chances, and contribute positively to their community through their passion for the Reds.
In the last year the LFC Foundation has raised £1m at the All-Star charity game and visited over 100 schools to deliver coaching and educational programs. The organization has hosted coaching sessions in 13 countries to support over 7,000 men to improve their health, including a bespoke program for military veterans.
Soccer News: Liverpool FC legends Luis Garcia and Gary McAllister attended the Club’s Junior Soccer Clinic in San Francisco alongside Liverpool FC Foundation.
The former Reds duo attended the Clinic at Addison-Penzak Jewish Community Center, Silicon Valley, to help deliver coaching sessions to over 60 young LFC fans.
Gary and Luis joined in with the youngsters and provided them with encouragement alongside the Club’s mascot, Mighty Red, who was cheering them on from the sidelines. The Legends also presented participants with an LFC goodie bag at the end of the session.
On attending the soccer clinic, Garcia said: “Meeting young LFC fans today and seeing their passion and enthusiasm for football was fantastic. It’s also great to see first-hand the work that the Foundation delivers on the tour as part of their International program.”
Andrea Cooper, head of LFC Foundation added, “It was fantastic to have the support of the LFC Legends today at our coaching clinic. All of the participants had a lot of fun whilst receiving a high-standard of professional football coaching from our team of expert community coaches, which is what the LFC Foundation always aims to achieve.”
