Liverpool Celebrates 2-0 Victory in Madrid
Liverpool is celebrating after their historic victory in the UEFA Champions League — defeating Tottenham Hotspur and claiming the trophy for the sixth time.
Jürgen Klopp led his Liverpool squad to claim the coveted prize in front of a worldwide audience. The first goal was early on, Mohamed Salah‘s converted penalty because of a handball and Divock Origi’s late goal earned the Reds their win over Tottenham in the Champions League final.

This is Liverpool’s first major victory since 2015 when Klopp took over at Anfield.
“It was an intense season with the most beautiful finish I ever could have imagined,” Klopp told the press after the match.
Liverpool, who lost last season’s final to Real Madrid, finished on 97 points in this season’s Premier League, but finished second to Manchester City.
