Louisville City FC Host el Jimador Pitch Party at Home Opener
LouCity return home following a win at Charlotte as they take on the New York Red Bulls II with the all-new el Jimador Pitch Party preceding the club’s home opening match. This fan festival will occur before every home game during Louisville’s 2016 season and will be the official pregame spot for all supporters to hang out before matches.
Soccer News: April 2’s home opener at Louisville Slugger Field will kick off early with the all-new el Jimador Pitch Party. The one-of-a-kind tour de force for fans will launch before every home game in 2016.
Through partnerships with the Louisville Food Truck Association and Louisville City FC’s various corporate partners, the el Jimador Pitch Party will be ground zero for fans to begin their LouCity match day.
On the corner of East Witherspoon St. and North Preston St. on the west side of Slugger Field, the el Jimador Pitch Party will host the fan-fueled festival with entertainment powered by Louisville’s own Do502 and Red Bull.
Parking inside the shared lot is $6 on game day.
Supporters are encouraged to start the party two hours before kick off, beginning at 1 p.m. on April 2 due to the special 3 p.m. start time against New York Red Bulls II. The season opening event will feature DJ Dwight Johnson and local food truck tastes from Ogi Ogii, POLLO a gourmet chicken joint, and Boo Boo Smoke Shack.
Entering 2016, Louisville City FC has returned 13 players from the 2015 roster — including reigning USL Goal of the Season winner Aodhan Quinn and former English Premier League striker Cameron Lancaster. New additions include MLS Cup-winning forward Chandler Hoffman, University of Louisville alumnus Paolo DelPiccolo and University of Kentucky alumnus George Davis IV.
Following the season-opening win at Charlotte Independence on Saturday, LouCity now returns to Louisville Slugger Field on April 2 to host New York Red Bulls II in the home opener, with a special 3 p.m. kickoff.
