EPL Giant Comes to Southern California to Scout Youth Soccer Players

Defending Premier League Champions Manchester City have an outstanding youth development academy in England and for the first time ever are offering soccer training in the USA at two national camps sponsored by Surf Cup.
Manchester City’s mission is to attract, develop and motivate the best natural talent by providing the best possible soccer experience – the City Experience.
Six Manchester City Academy coaches, including Mark Burton, will fly into San Diego for this special youth soccer program. In addition, a top level academy scout will attend the camp and, along with the Academy Coaches, will scout and possibly identify the most elite players for an all-expense paid trip to train at the prestigious Manchester City Academy’s Platt Lane Complex in Manchester, England.

Jeff Illingworth’s is excited to announce today his new inaugural Pro-I.D program with Manchester City coaches. Illingworth visited Manchester City earlier this year and met with Brian Marwood to develop this unique youth soccer program. The exclusive soccer camp is for passionate soccer players who dream of a professional soccer career between the ages of 10 and 18.
Academy coach Burton says, “I am looking forward to training American youth soccer players during these two camps. I know there is a lot of talent in the United States and a real passion for learning. Manchester City is excited about this new program and looks forward to its success.”
The youth soccer camp will be held in San Diego, California. The first day of the camp will have assessment games held at the Polo Fields after Surf Cup’s competition has concluded.
The Pro-I.D. Camp offers a unique opportunity to experience how a high-level academy team trains under the direction and supervision of Manchester City FC coaches.

The camps, which will be held around the prestigious Surf Cup, offer players who travel to San Diego to compete in one of the country’s top youth soccer tournaments the chance to extend their stay in the area.

The training provides a high level of technical, tactical, physical and mental development for youth soccer players. Most elite youth players watched Manchester City battle and win Barclay’s Premier League last year. The club features an amazing roster which includes Joe Hart as GK and David Silva, Carlos Tévez, Yaya Touré and Sergio Agüero on the field, coached by Roberto Mancini. The goal of the Manchester City Academy is to develop players to play on this team … imagine the chance to train with these Academy coaches.
Pro-I.D. Soccer Camps will offer selected players an all-expense-paid trip to Manchester, England where they will train with the Manchester City Academy.
