Soccer Star Giving Back – Megan Rapinoe joins streetfootballworld in the fight for human rights and equality as a global ambassador. streetfootballworld is an international NGO that supports 112 grassroots organizations, which uses football as a tool to reach disadvantaged young people and drive social change to over 68 countries around the world.
Soccer News: Seattle Reign FC star Megan Rapinoe took another major step in her quest for equality and human rights by becoming a global ambassador for streetfootballworld, an organisation that uses the power of soccer to empower young people around the world.
The position gives Megan Rapinoe a unique opportunity to combine her love of soccer with her passionate advocacy work in order to effect change globally.
“Soccer has given me so much both on and off the field” she said. “I believe I have a responsibility to fight for those same opportunities for everyone, regardless of gender, race or socio-economic background. That’s why I’m proud to team up with streetfootballworld as their global ambassador and I can’t wait to start helping more young people achieve their goals.”

Rapinoe joins fellow World Cup winner Juan Mata in her ambassadorial role.
