International Soccer Academy American Soccer Player Signs Contract To Play in Germany
For an aspiring athlete, being offered a contract to play the sport you love comes at much cost. Lengthy hours in the training room, watching tape and pondering what the next steps of your career need to be is expected.

Soccer News: Former International Soccer Academy (ISA) player Michael Scavuzzo has signed his first professional contract with Greifswalder FC of Germany. The Southern California native played for San Diego Surf SC and suited up for the Sporting Kansas City Academy during his youth career.
In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the 21-year-old traveled with ISA to Spain in order to train with RCD Mallorca. Scavuzzo continued to develop his craft during the second scouting period of International Soccer Academy this past spring.
Scavuzzo joins a list of International Soccer Academy players from all across America who have had their dreams of playing in Europe come true. Getting paid to play soccer in Europe, especially for a youth soccer player to earn money playing soccer for a German football clubs, is a wonderful achievement.
Scavuzzo has played a key role during Greifswalder FC’s recent performances, tallying — assists and — goals in the last — matches.

Scavuzzo played for San Diego Surf SC as well as Albion SC in San Diego, California before joining Barca Residential Academy in Arizona. Scavuzzo was offered a roster spot at Sporting Kansas City at the U.S. Soccer Development Academy‘s December Showcase and accepted the offer in January, 2018.
