Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association to Offer National Youth License Coaching Course in Hicksville
Every year, the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA) offers courses designed for those coaches who wish to take their game and their team to the next level. These high-level, nationally-recognized events are the qualifications demanded from those professional coaches making a living in the game.
Eastern New York is very pleased to again offer the National Youth License, at two sites in the soccer hamlet of Hicksville. The National Youth License is the top youth license for those coaching ages 6 to 12.
Coaches must attend both weekends, June 19 to 21 and June 26 to 28. The classroom setting will be at Upper 90 Long Island at 183 South Broadway while the field site is Kevin Kolm Memorial Park on Old Country Road, a short corner kick west of South Oyster Bay Road.
One of the recent graduates of the National Youth Certificate, Tarl Smith, is also an Olympic Development Program (ODP) coach and education instructor. Tarl had this to say:
“Having now completed my climb up the US Soccer ladder, and also having previously attained my NSCAA Premier Diploma, it is without hesitation that I strongly recommend all coaches of every level to complete the National Youth Diploma.”
“Out of all the licenses and diplomas that I have completed, I consider the National Youth Diploma to be the most important and most relevant course I have done to date. Its focus is on the ages we deal with most commonly out on the field with specific insight into how a child learns at Under-6, Under-8, Under-10 and Under-12. Insight that proves invaluable when planning sessions that are age-appropriate and sure to bring out the very best in every group you coach. It will be the defining course in your coaching career and one that I will reflect on forever.“
All details for this event can be found at http://enyysacoach.sportssignup.com/site, scroll down on the left to Hicksville. The course is $775. Time is running out so anyone interested should look to register now.
