Creating Powerful Partnership to Enhance Youth Soccer Development
Goalkeepers always deserve more recognition and resources. To provide more resources for player development, New Jersey Youth Soccer ODP partners with United Goalkeeper Alliance.
The New Jersey Olympic Development Program (ODP) has officially announced a partnership with the United Goalkeeping Alliance (UGKA). Through the partnership, ODP goalkeepers will receive access to UGKA training materials and monthly webinars centered around various goalkeeping topics.
“The UGKA is a professional group of goalkeeper coaches from around the world,” states the organization’s website. “Our staff consists of Academy Owners, Collegiate Coaches and Professional Players and Staff. UGKA staff experiences include but are not limited to; former English Premier League GKs, former US National Team GKs & GK coaches, and current professional GKs and GK coaches.”
“This partnership with the United Goalkeeping Alliance expands our player’s access to resources that aid in position-specific development,” said James Galanis, NJYS Director of Technical Operations. “Now, our ODP goalkeepers will be able to gain goalkeeper-specific knowledge through the exceptional coaches that are a part of the United Goalkeeping Alliance.”
The United Goalkeeping Alliance is an ever-growing network of goalkeeper coaches with a mission to educate generations of goalkeepers. The UGKA aims to provide a culture of guidance through collaboration, participation and ideation. Each month, based on assigned goalkeeper topics, a group of UGKA coaches provide training plans, video analysis, presentations, Q&As and other means of education to its members.
The goal of the UGKA is to further develop every aspect of goalkeeping for participating coaches, goalkeepers and parents alike. Access to UGKA resources is being provided as a benefit to New Jersey ODP goalkeepers at no additional cost. To learn more about the United Goalkeeping Alliance, please visit UnitedGKAlliance.com.
