Congratulations to all the talented players and coaches from New Jersey who competed in the US Youth Soccer events
The US Youth Soccer (USYS) Eastern Regional Championships were conducted over a seven-day timespan in West Virginia, with New Jersey teams enjoying a very successful campaign in the regional tournament.
Four New Jersey teams emerged as champions at the USYS Eastern Regional Championships, which was the second-highest amount of teams among all state associations.
Champions representing New Jersey were Real Jersey FC 06 (13U Girls), STA 2005 (14U Boys), PSA National 03 (16U Girls) and PSA 19U Girls. Additionally, MatchFit 15U Girls went on a great run, earning their way to the 15U Final.
“We are so proud of the players, coaches and parents who represented New Jersey throughout the tournament,” said Evan Dabby, NJYS Executive Director. “It was a pleasure watching them compete and achieve against the best from around the East Region.”
Regional winners of the 13U-19U age groups earned a berth to the 2019 USYS National Championships, which will be played July 22-28 at the Overland Park Soccer Complex in Overland Park, Kansas.
The USYS National Championships will consist of USYS Regional Champions in the 13U-19U Boys and Girls divisions, as well as the USYS National League qualifiers from the 14U-19U Boys and Girls age groups.
