UPSL Announces New National Look Logo Ahead of 2016 UPSL Winter Season
Soccer News: The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) announced the presentation of their new UPSL logo as they get set for what they expect to be the best and most competitive season in the league’s history. With the new Red, White and Blue color scheme, the logo to represent the league’s forward movement to becoming a National Pro Development Soccer league. With this simple color change, the new UPSL Logo offers a cleaner and sharper look, giving the face of the league a patriotic and national makeover and upgrade.
When looking at the new crest, the most important and noticeable change to the original logo has been the direct replacement of the color green on the bottom with the color red. As is with many of the country’s Professional and Pro-Am leagues, our nation’s colors are evident in almost every logo. As the league has grown steadily over the past several seasons, they have now expanded across three states (California, Nevada and Arizona) which includes over 40 teams. With the quality of play consistently moving higher year after year, the UPSL is now catching the attention of many professional clubs, top players and top coaches – the UPSL is anticipating a significant jump in new team membership across the country joining the UPSL over the next several years.
The new UPSL Logo also represents their forward movement with respect to the prestigious U.S. Open Cup with all UPSL teams having the opportunity to participate in the Qualifying Rounds of the U.S. Open Cup as a UPSL Team member.
It is for these reasons that the UPSL felt it was the right time to change the color scheme within their logo. What started as a California Pro Developmental Soccer League has grown into a Western Regional league with National aspirations for players wanting to take the next step in their soccer careers. The UPSL wanted the logo to represent the country and the country’s soccer players.
“We wanted to thank Brian Perez, Owner/Operator of Del Rey City FC with his contribution to the idea and vision with our new logo and its new look and feel,” said Yan Skwara, UPSL Commissioner. “Our new dynamic Red, White and Blue logo represents the American Soccer Spirit and our leagues aspirations to expand the UPSL footprint nationally and become a top-tier US National Pro Developmental league coupled with a Promotion-Relegation Model in place.”
