New York Soccer News: 85 of the club’s 120 players participated in the video
The Rising Stars Soccer Club of the Central New York State Soccer League (CNYSSL) recently went to great lengths to create this video, with 85 of its 120 registered players thanking essential workers: Watch Facebook Video
Rising Stars’ Director of Coaching Damon Neish moderates the video and explained, “The video kept some interaction with our players. We cannot practice or scrimmage so giving virtual challenges has been what we have been providing for them. We’ve had great support from our players and families and want to show our support for everyone working as hard as the kids work when they are on the field!”
Rising Stars is based in the Mohawk Valley, where they have moved on to Phase 3 in reopening. Youth players playing soccer is in Phase 4.
While the club is getting excited about a future return to the field, Neish said they will be using Eastern New York’s guidelines to safely go back.
