Soccer News: Huntington Beach Club Latest Member of Rapidly Expanding Pro Development League
The United Premier Soccer League announced its newest member to the Southeast Conference, FC Strikers South Coast. The FC Strikers South Coast have been one of the top clubs in Southern California for the past decade based out of Huntington Beach, CA and have now expanded their program to reflect the clubs growing interest from their own players to continue to wear the FC Strikers badge once their youth club years are complete. The FC Strikers South Coast currently boast over 20 youth teams under their FC Strikers South Coast umbrella which includes 500 youth players in a competitive stage of youth soccer to now compliment if Men’s Pro Development squad.
FC Striker President Marissa Pena said, “We are very excited to become a member of the UPSL. We know the UPSL has become the top Pro Development league in Southern California. We are excited to expand our soccer program to the Men’s Pro Development side as we have put together a committed team both on and off the field to compete with UPSL competitive standards. We are based in the City of Huntington Beach the past decade and we look forward to our local youth players of tomorrow aspiring to play in our new top flight team.”
United Premier Soccer League Commissioner Yan Skwara said, “We are very excited to announce FC Strikers South Coast. The FC Strikers are going to be a tough club in the Southeast Conference as many teams will find out. The FC Strikers bring a well-organized system of recruitment and talent to the UPSL family of teams as we are excited to have the FC Strikers become a new member of the UPSL and becoming part of our stable of top local Men’s Pro Development teams which is our business model.”
The UPSL now consists of three conferences spanning across Southern and Central California; which include Los Angeles County, Orange County, Ventura County, Santa Clarita Valley, Kern County and the Inland Empire.
