Highly Competitive 36th Annual NHB Cup Champions and Finalists
Labor Day may be the last days of summer, and for many it may be celebrated on the beaches but for dedicated, elite youth soccer teams, this is a big tournament weekend. Commemorating its 36th year, NHB held the boys competition over Labor Day weekend.
One of the oldest tournaments in America, NHB celebrated its 36th year as it held its 2014 youth soccer tournament.
With top teams from Southern California as well as Washington, Nevada, Northern California and Arizona, NHB is one of the most competitive youth soccer tournaments. Held over two weekends, 200 girls and 256 boys youth soccer teams competed in NHB. An excellent final tune-up before youth soccer league season starts, the boys teams competed over the three-day Labor Day Weekend and the girls teams competed earlier in August.
Tournament Director Kim Engesser Ruiz said, “Thank you to all the teams who participated and helped make the 36th Annual NHB Cup such a huge success. We hosted over 450 teams between the two weekends and had some very competitive and exciting games. Congratulations to all of our 2014 Champions and Finalists. Best of luck to all teams in their league season and I look forward to seeing you back next year for our 37th Annual NHB Cup.” Ruiz runs a highly professional and well organized youth soccer tournament for North Huntington Beach Futbol Club.
