2016 NJ Youth Soccer Presidents Cup Champions Crowned
New Jersey Youth Soccer’s 2016 Presidents Cup concluded this past Sunday as Karl Ouimette of the New York Red Bulls was present to congratulate the winners. Six champions were crowned for boys and girls age groups U15-U17 with the winners set to represent New Jersey in regional competition against out-of-state champions.
Youth Soccer News: The 2016 NJ Youth Soccer Presidents Cup tournament was decided at Bordentown Friendship Field this past Sunday. This event concluded the statewide competition that included teams representing the U15-U17 age groups. Winners of the NJYS Presidents Cup will now represent New Jersey in regional competition against other state champions. Winners in six age groups, three for girls and three for boys, were crowned representing teams and clubs throughout the state.

The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup is a national tournament designed to create a high-level competition for those looking to play against teams of similar abilities for a regional or national title. “We are proud of these players’ dedication. Their hard work and skilled play propelled their teams to the next level. New Jersey Youth Soccer looks forward to the seeing these champions represent New Jersey at the Region I competition,” said Buddy Hart, NJYS Games Commissioner.
Karl Ouimette current New York Red Bulls player and current Canadian National Team member was on hand to congratulate the players and their achievements. “We had a similar state cup tournament growing up in Canada,” said Ouimette. “It is great the players have an opportunity to compete against the best teams in the state for a chance to play the best teams regionally.”
