Take the Pitch at Four Authentic Stadiums and all 12 NWSL teams with EA SPORTS FIFA 23
Play as women’s club teams for the first time in EA SPORTS FIFA history as EA SPORTS™ Furthers its commitment to Women’s Football with National Women’s Soccer League and National Women’s Soccer League Players Association Partnerships.
Today, Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: EA) announced new partnerships with the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), the top women’s professional league in the U.S., and the National Women’s Soccer League Players Association (NWSLPA). These partnerships are an important part of EA SPORTS’s ongoing commitment to elevate and authentically represent the women’s game and clearly demonstrate support of the women’s game.
Playing as a women’s club teams is a big first time in the EA SPORTS FIFA history… and this newest release will feature not just the NWSL but also the Barclays Women’s Super League, Division 1 Arkema, and UEFA Women’s Champions League.
It is clear that girls have been left out and not represented in main stream gaming for too long and that finally change has happened.
The new NWSL clubs are playable in the following game modes:
- Kick-Off
- Online Seasons (Head-to-Head & Co-op)
- Online Friendlies
- Tournament Mode
In Kick-Off, Online Seasons & Online Friendlies, you can choose to play with any of the 12 clubs in the league. If both clubs in the match are from the NWSL, you’ll see the authentic match broadcast experience in these modes.

Starting March 15 ahead of the NWSL seasons launch and across all platforms, all 12 NWSL teams will be present with authentic kits, starheads, trophies and celebrations.

The 2023 NWSL season is slated to kick off on Saturday, March 25, with opening weekend for the league’s 11th campaign seeing all 12 teams in action. Both the regular season and the 2023 UKG NWSL Challenge Cup will appear across CBS Sports platforms, including The CBS Television Network, CBS Sports Network and Paramount+.
