NPSL’s Atlantic Conference Now Divided in Two
The growth of the NPSL will see its Atlantic Conference split into two divisions this season in order to keep competition at an all-time high. This conference will be divided into two divisions — Atlantic – Blue and Atlantic – White — for the 2017 season kicking off next month.
NPSL Soccer News: The National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) has announced the new alignment for the Northeast Region’s Atlantic Conference.
“As we see tremendous growth of the NPSL throughout the country and especially in the Northeast, it was the opinion of the teams in the Atlantic Conference with consultation with the board to create two conferences in the Atlantic to maintain rivalries already created and create parity in the region,” Rhode Island Reds Owner and Northeast Regional Board Member Kabba Joof commented. “This is a tremendous move by the conference, which now creates two of the most competitive conferences in the nation.”
This conference will be split into two divisions: Atlantic – Blue and Atlantic – White.
The teams are arranged as follows:
Atlantic – Blue
- Brooklyn Italians
- Elm City Express
- Greater Lowell NPSL FC
- New York Cosmos B
- Seacoast United Phantoms
- TSF FC
Atlantic – White
- Boston City FC
- Hartford City FC
- Kingston Stockade FC
- New York Athletic Club
- Rhode Island Reds FC
- Seacoast United Mariners
Each club will play a schedule of 12 games. Ten games will be within their conference with the other two coming as crossover games that will be played on a home/away basis.
