National College Rankings Released by NSCAA
The national college rankings by the NSCAA are released for the men’s and women’s division across the United States. Stanford women’s soccer claim the top spot of D1 soccer, while the University of Notre Dame remain the top contender on the men’s side.
College Soccer News: The National Soccer Coaches Association of America released the national rankings on Tuesday for NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III and Junior College Division I and Division III men’s and women’s teams.
NCAA DI Women: Florida State’s are knocked down to the number 3 spot as Stanford University sits atop the rankings, claiming 16 first place votes. West Virginia University moves to the number two spot with their 6-0-1 record.
NCAA DI Men: The University of Notre Dame remains the number one ranked team with 21 first place votes and 597 total points. The University of North Carolina moves to the number two spot, bumping out Clemson University who now sits at number six this week.
NCAA DII Women: Columbus State University holds onto the number one spot with a 3-0-0 record. Grand Valley State University snags the number two spot again this week while the University of Central Missouri moves up to number 3.
NCAA DII Men: The University of Charleston claims the number one spot with a 4-0-0 record. Lynn University sit in number two spot, while Rockhurst University remains number 3 again this week. Southern New Hampshire University and St. Edward’s University complete this week’s top five.
NCAA DIII Women: Williams College sit the number one spot with a 3-0-0 record. William Smith College claims the number two spot, while Washington University (Mo.) are ranked number three. Concluding the top five is Trinity University (Texas) and Centre College.
NCAA DIII Men: Amherst College claim the number one spot in the first week of polls with a 2-0-0 record to start the season. Trinity University (Texas) is ranked number two, while Kenyon College claims the number three spot. The University of Chicago and St. Lawrence University conclude the top five.
Junior College Division I Women: Eastern Florida State College remains the number one team, while Butler Community College jumps to the number two spot. Monroe College stays steady in the number three spot.
Junior College Division I Men: Tyler Junior College remains the number one team in this week’s polls, while San Jacinto College-South jumps to the second spot Iowa Western Community College drop down to number three as Monroe College-Bronx and Parkland College conclude the top five
Junior College Division III Women: A similar ranking from last week as Cerritos College remains in the number one spot again. Brookdale Community College sits in the number two spot, while Santa Rosa Junior College, Herkimer College, and SUNY Broome Community College conclude the top five.
Junior College Division III Men: Richland College sits in the number one spot, jumping from number three last week. Fresno City College remains in the number two spot, while Camden County College is ranked number three. Mt. San Antonio College breaks into the top five at the number four spot followed by Genesee Community College coming in at number five.
The next rankings will be released Tuesday, September 20 and will include NAIA rankings.
The NSCAA regional and national college rankings are a week-to-week status of qualified programs.
