Women’s Soccer Schedule
The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) schedule for the 2018 regular season – including 20 matches to be broadcast nationally as part of the NWSL Game of the Week on Lifetime — kicks off soon.
Bringing you the news: Jenn Hildreth and Aly Wagner return to the broadcast booth for the NWSL Game of the Week on Saturdays during the regular season – while sideline reporter Dalen Cuff will also be back as the host of the pregame show starting at 3:30 p.m. ET leading up to a 3:50 p.m. ET kickoff.
NWSL fans can also enjoy games this season by watching livestreams of matches on the go90 app and website in the U.S., while international fans will be able to watch games on the NWSL app and NWSLsoccer.com.
The 2018 NWSL season will kick off soon — Saturday, March 24 at 3:30 p.m. ET as the North Carolina Courage and Portland Thorns FC square off at Sahlen’s Stadium in the first NWSL Game of the Week on Lifetime this year as well as a rematch of the 2017 championship.
The Thorns are undefeated in season openers with a 4-0-1 record in those matches – including four consecutive wins.
On March 31, 2018 NWSL Draft No. 1 overall selection Andi Sullivan and the Washington Spirit prepare for their first moment in the spotlight this season when they host Alex Morgan and the Orlando Pride in the NWSL Game of the Week at the Maryland SoccerPlex.
The NWSL Game of the Week will come to Rio Tinto Stadium as Utah Royals FC – the league’s newest club – goes against 2017 U.S. Soccer Female Athlete of the Year Julie Ertz and the Chicago Red Stars on April 14 as the Red Stars look to reach the postseason for a record-breaking fourth consecutive year.
Later in April, Samantha Mewis and North Carolina head west to take on Christen Press and the Houston Dash at BBVA Compass Stadium in the NWSL Game of the Week on April 28 with the Courage taking aim at becoming the second team to repeat as NWSL Shield winners, while Houston are hoping to make the playoffs for the first time in club history.
Portland returns to the NWSL Game of the Week on May 5 when the champions host Seattle Reign FC at Providence Park as the Cascadia clubs renew their rivalry with Christine Sinclair and the Thorns looking to take a step toward claiming the season series against Jess Fishlock and Seattle for the first time since 2013.
Carli Lloyd and Sky Blue FC make their lone appearance in the NWSL Game of the Week on July 7 when they host the Chicago Red Stars at Yurcak Field as the New Jersey native looks to help her new club back to the playoffs for the first time since 2013.
Fast forward to the penultimate week of the season as Marta and the Pride take on 2017 NWSL MVP Samantha Kerr and the Red Stars on Aug. 25 with the Australia international looking for a strong follow-up effort on her record-breaking performance last season.
The 2018 regular season will then culminate on September 8 with the top four teams advancing to the playoffs – that will feature two semifinal matches Sept. 14-16 and the 2018 NWSL Championship on Saturday, Sept. 22.
