18 Amateur Players Called up for Week 14 of the NWSL
Exciting news for players who dream of being a professional soccer players – NWSL announce 18 amateur players are called up for Week 14 of the 2016 season.
NWSL Soccer News: The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) announced that 18 Amateur Players have been called up by clubs to be available for selection in Week 14 of the 2016 NWSL season. The Western New York Flash have decided not to call-up an Amateur Player, while the Boston Breakers and Portland Thorns FC have a bye this week.

Each Team’s Amateur List will initially be allowed 10 amateur Players
The Players listed on the Amateur List may remain there through the end of the 2016 Season.
The player must be registered as an Amateur Player with U.S. Soccer. A player registered as a professional may not regain amateur status until 30 days have elapsed since her last game competed in as a professional.
With all four games this weekend on Saturday night, NWSL action begins as Jessica McDonald and the WNY Flash bring a four-game unbeaten run into their match against Shea Groom and champions FC Kansas City at 7 p.m. ET at Rhinos Stadium.
Next, Estefania Banini and the Washington Spirit look to reclaim the top spot in the NWSL when they go on the road to face Sarah Killion and Sky Blue FC at 7 p.m. ET at Yurcak Field.
Kealia Ohai and the Houston Dash take on Sofia Huerta and the Chicago Red Stars as both teams look to build on wins after snapping losing streaks last week at 8 p.m. ET at Toyota Park.
In the final match of the night, Kim Little and Seattle Reign FC look to get into gear after suffering through what has been a sputtering season by their standards when they host Kristen Edmonds and the Orlando Pride at 10 p.m. ET at Memorial Stadium.
