NWSL To Air Live Stream of 2017 College Draft
The 2017 NWSL College Draft is days away as top talent in women’s college soccer gather in Los Angeles for a moment to take their skills to the next level. The NWSL will provide its fans with a live stream as Aly Wagner and Jen Cooper serve as analysts during the draft on Thursday.

NWSL Soccer News: The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) will live stream the 2017 NWSL College Draft via Facebook and YouTube on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017 at the NSCAA Convention in Los Angeles.
The 10 NWSL teams will take turns picking the best of the draft eligible talent over four rounds beginning at 3 p.m. ET / 12 p.m. PT.Host Mark Rogondino, analyst Aly Wagner, analyst Jen Cooper and reporter Ashleigh Ignelzi will call the College Draft live from the JW Marriott, providing fans with the latest news, information and insight on each selection. They will also be joined on the live stream by the draft picks, NWSL head coaches, and NWSL general managers as well as several special guests.
Rogondino is a sports broadcaster who has worked as the LA Clippers pre/post game host with Fox Sports West, in addition to now being the NextVR host for the NBA League Pass game of the week. Referred to as “Rogo”, he has been a soccer Play-by-Play announcer and host for more than a 17 years, covering Major League Soccer, NWSL, the U.S. Men and Women’s National Teams, and various international and college matches for Fox, Pac-12 Network and CBS Sports.
A former U.S. Women’s National Team player, two-time Olympic gold medalist and two-time FIFA Women’s World Cup athlete, Aly Wagner is currently an analyst with FOX Sports. The first selection in the 2003 Women’s United Soccer Association Draft, Wagner played professionally with the WUSA and the Women’s Professional Soccer League. During her collegiate career at Santa Clara, she hoisted the 2001 NCAA Division I Championship and was named the 2002 Missouri Athletic Club’s Hermann Trophy winner as the country’s top women’s soccer player.
Cooper is the host of The Mixxed Zone, a weekly women’s soccer podcast hosted by Whatahowler, and has served as the commentator for Houston Dash home broadcasts for three seasons. She is also the founder and publisher of Keeper Notes, a Houston-based soccer newsletter and website. Cooper was the analyst for the 2016 NWSL Draft in Baltimore.
Ignelzi has covered national and international soccer for FOX Sports, Sky Sports and FOX Sports Ohio; college football and basketball for the Big Ten Network, the NFL for FOX NFL Sunday; and professional golf, football and basketball for ESPN the Magazine. She has served as a sideline reporter for the Guinness International Champions Cup, the U.S. Women’s National Team and the Columbus Crew of Major League Soccer.
