A battle for second place kicks off Week 11 in the 2016 NWSL season as WNY Flash take on the Chicago Red Stars. Washington Spirit take on FC Kansas City on Saturday, while the Portland Thorns host Sky Blue FC to conclude 4th of July weekend in the NWSL.
Soccer News: Week 11 of the 2016 National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) season kicks off on Friday as Western New York Flash take on the Chicago Red Stars at 7:00 pm E.T. at Rhinos Stadium. Both teams are tied for second in points as WNY comes off a dominant performance over Sky Blue FC.
Jessica McDonald and Lynn Williams of WNY are tied for most goals in the league with each tallying a total of five goals this season.

Washington Spirit kick off the first match on Saturday versus FC Kansas City at 7:00 pm E.T. Washington are coming off a loss to Sky Blue FC, while FC Kansas City look to get back on track following a disappointing first half of the season.
