Eastern New York Releases New Youth Soccer Video Series Focused on Educating Parents, With Help From Stellar Alumni and Coaches
New York Youth Soccer News: The Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association kicks off new soccer videos aimed at educating soccer parents.
The Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA) has released a series of videos targeting “soccer moms and dads” and providing them guidance from some of the most well-known alumni and coaches from New York.
“We hope that parents and players enjoy this video series about Eastern New York Soccer and the interviews to come with several alumni who have gone on to become some of the top players and coaches in the United States,” commented ENYYSA President Richard Christiano. “They will explain what motivated them and the life lessons they learned on the soccer field.“
Here are all nine videos being released by ENYYSA:
The intent of the series is to help alleviate some of the pressures that are being placed on parents of children playing soccer. There is increasing pressure on parents to move players to different teams and clubs in search of “college scholarships,” which are largely mythical in today’s college scholarship process, which many of the coaches address in the video series.
ENYYSA has created the video series, because they have heard first-hand from players and parents the amount of pressure they feel competing for these “college scholarships,” and the amount of money that is being spent to have their children play at the “right” club or with the “right” trainer, instead of focusing on the happiness and development of the player, not wins and losses.
Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association: With over 100,000 youth soccer players–both boys and girls–and more than 25,000 volunteers, the non-profit Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA) stretches from Montauk Point, Long Island to the Canadian border. Members are affiliated with 11 leagues throughout the association, which covers the entire state of New York east of Route 81. ENYYSA exists to promote and enhance the game of soccer for children and teenagers between the ages of 5 and 19 years old, and to encourage the healthy development of youth players, coaches, referees and administrators.
All levels of soccer are offered–from intramural, travel team and premier players as well as Children With Special Needs. No child who wants to play soccer is turned away. ENYYSA is a proud member of the United States Soccer Federation and United States Youth Soccer Association.
