Josh Taylor of OKC Energy U23 Rises in PDL Top Prospects List
Josh Taylor of OKC Energy U23 rises the highest in the third PDL Top Prospects list following an impressive set of matches during the month of June. K-W United FC captain Sergio Camargo remains at the top of the list as Taylor joins Energy U23 teammate Mauro Cichero in the Top 10.
PDL Soccer News: OKC Energy U23 defender Josh Taylor rose the highest in the third edition of the 2016 PDL Top Prospects list, while K-W United FC captain Sergio Camargo continues to lead the field.
Taylor, who attends St. Edwards University, makes his first appearance inside the Top 20 after previously being ranked in the Top 50 on June 8. Taylor did not feature in Energy U23’s first few games, but he has impressed while playing in five June matches. The defender also scored the game-winning goal against Albuquerque Sol F.C. on Friday. Taylor joins Energy U23 teammate Mauro Cichero in the Top 10.Joining Taylor as the new faces inside the Top 20 are Burlingame Dragons FC forward Daniel Musovski, Sounders FC U23 goalkeeper Jeff Caldwell and Lane United FC midfielder Matthew Coffey.
The Atlantic Coast Conference has three players inside the latest edition of the Top 20, including Camargo, Jon Bakero and Caldwell.
More than 20 scouts across North America provide the PDL with valuable insight on players who are performing at the highest level within the league, possess strong technical and tactical qualities and have the potential to play at the professional level. The Top Prospects list serves as a useful resource for professional clubs who are interested in identifying and scouting high-level performers.
The PDL will be updating the Top Prospects list throughout the 2016 season.
