OCSC Signs Brazilian Striker for 2019 USL Season
Vinicius, 20-year-old Brazilian striker, has signed with Orange County SC for the 2019 USL season. Orange County SC is coming off a 2-2 draw in their 2019 USL Championship season opener last week. The SoCal club now prepares for its home opener on Saturday versus Tulsa Roughnecks FC in Irvine, CA.

USL Soccer News: Orange County SC has announced the signing of Brazilian forward Vinicius from FC Cascavel on a multi-year deal.
“Vinicius is a very exciting young player! He has the technical ability to go past people 1v1 and has a keen eye for goal. He will be a great addition to our team.” said Braeden Cloutier, OCSC head coach.
Vinicius Geovane Damasceno De Paula, 20, joins Orange County SC following a stellar youth career in Brazil. He made his professional debut for Foz Do Iguaçu at 17 years old. His break out season came last year when he scored 12 goals in 11 games for Fortaleza FC. He was selected to the U20 Campeonato Cearense best XI of the tournament and finished leading goal scorer.
“We are delighted to add Vinicius, a young but incredibly talented forward to our roster,” said Oliver Wyss, OCSC General Manager. “He has all the tools to be a top scorer in this league and we are excited to see him showcase his abilities in Orange County!”

He joins Orange County SC in time for the club’s 2019 USL Championship home opener against Tulsa Roughnecks FC on March 16th, 2019. Kickoff is at 7:00 p.m. PT at Championship Soccer Stadium in Irvine, CA.
