PRESIDIO RECOGNIZES YOUTH SOCCER TEAM MANAGERS

Presidio Youth Soccer League Volunteers Recognized at San Diego Sockers Match

Volunteers often work long hours with little appreciation and San Diego’s Presidio Youth Soccer League is determined to change this and kicks off their inaugural Manager of the Year awards a celebration of Team Managers and their efforts in youth soccer.

The first annual Presidio Soccer League “Manager of the Year” award presentation takes place at the Pacific Division Champion San Diego Sockers’ game against the El Paso Coyotes today, Saturday, March 3, at 7:05 p.m., at Valley View Casino Center.

The special awards presentation recognizing the efforts of all the 2018 Manager of The Year winners will be in front of an expected crowd of over 3,000 soccer fans.

Volunteers are usually very busy people with huge hearts and we salute these individuals who reflect our passion for the game of soccer with their unselfish efforts.

These hard-working youth soccer team managers in San Diego’s Presidio Soccer League which has 20,000 competitive players and approximately 1,350 youth soccer teams deserve this recognition, according to the league’s president Bob Turner.

“We truly appreciate all that managers and all volunteers do to help make Presidio the best that it can be and we look forward to even more Club participation in the coming years to identify and acknowledge even more managers for all of their hard work.,” said Turner,

“Team managers volunteer many hours each year to ensure the successful management of their teams’ players and parents. They are the backbone of every team and unfortunately, their efforts usually go unnoticed unless there is an issue,” added Turner. “We appreciate the Sockers partnering with us to recognize these team managers in our first annual ‘Manager of the Year’ award presentation.”
