Pro Select Soccer Camps Gear Up for Summer Sessions
Summer camps headline the summer as fall season approaches with Pro Select Soccer Academy building upon its recognition as one of the most prestigious soccer camps in San Diego. Albion Pros players who are also Pro Select alumni will continue to lead the training sessions with a special feature by Matt Clare – a member of Albion as well as the San Diego Sockers.
Pro Select’s camps are designed to specialize in a specific topic during the week to emphasize progression through in-depth focus. August camps kick off next week with Skill & Speed highlighting the first of three sessions held throughout the month.
Youth Soccer News: Pro Select Soccer Academy is gearing up for its latest summer camps in San Diego with the fall season just around the corner. Pro Select Soccer Academy welcomes competitive players who desire to make it to the next stage in their career with the help of some of the most talented players and coaches in the region.
Pro Select prides itself in providing a variety of programs that can be in either private or group sessions as well as the upcoming camps that highlight the summer.
“Players inside teams need more attention than what any coach can offer. Pro Select exists to provide players a specialized approach to giving these players details and an extra layer of training for their individual game,” states founder Noah Gins. “In addition, Pro Select opens up doors to opportunities internationally and with college placement that has proven to be so instrumental to players making it.”
Pro Select Soccer Academy
In contrast to club training, Pro Select focus’ on specific aspects and repetition during training as well as education on how to stay hydrated, eat proper and how to take care of your body.
“More than just pure practice – which is high quality – but we add the educational aspect as well,” said Tim Reintgen, Director of Camps & Academy.
Reintgen joined Pro Select back in May and cites the strict curriculum that is designed to give rapid improvement as what drove him to join the company.
Reintgen continues by referencing the 10,000 hour rule for a player to reach his or her maximum potential at any subject. He notes that the kids that attend the camps provide the professional atmosphere due to their dedication to success.
“When all the players come in we congratulate them for their dedication to improvement. They are taking the time to continue to develop their game instead of relaxing for the summer,” states Reintgen.
Pro Select also capitalizes on the ability to balance fun and entertainment within its sessions in order to keep learning the main priority.
Over the last 16 years, Pro Select Soccer Academy has selected a group of U14 boys and girls to travel and train in Brazil. Over this period of time, the organization has sent over 500 players, 300 of which now play in college, to the South American soccer hub.
Players are evaluated and selected by Pro Select staff to travel to Brazil at the end of June each year. Training consists of futsal and beach soccer for a moment for players to embrace soccer culture in one of the world’s greatest soccer countries.
Pro Select Soccer Camps
Pro Select’s upcoming camps are designated for players 6 to 16 years old.
The coach to player ratio is 12-1 during maximum attendance. Pro Select organizes each week to a specific aspect of the game that includes a skill and speed week; attacking and defending session; as well its shooting and finishing week.
Pro Select coach Paul Erne, “We focus on specific individual attributes, and work on improving those skills while having an intense but fun session.”
Each camp is held throughout the week from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. – totaling 15 hours of training.
