Plantation FC to become Paris Saint-Germain Plantation: European Style Soccer in Florida
The American youth soccer market is exploding and more European based clubs are coming to our country than ever before — many with excellent player development programs which can raise the level of training in the USA. Now, it is PSG’s turn to partner — and they have selected to work with Plantation FC in Florida.
Youth Soccer News: There is no doubt that soccer is the “ new” big thing in the Sunshine State of Florida.
A few days after the MLS Soccer team announcement led by David Beckham in Miami, Plantation FC signs its biggest partnership agreement becoming Paris Saint-Germain Academy Plantation.
This historical Broward County Soccer club officially empowers the French world-class Paris Saint-Germain Academy to train and develop its competitive players introducing them to the largest youth soccer network not only in Florida but also in the world.
Paris Saint-Germain fosters over 25,000 young players in 12 countries worldwide. PSG Academy Florida includes over 2,000 competitive boys and girls from Homestead to West Palm Beach, not to mention the 1500 recreational players.
PSG Academy Coaching staff certification process in Broward:
Of course, all former Plantation FC coaching staff will be assessed, trained, and certified to get ready for season 2018/2019. The process has already started with the exclusive visit of Pierre Yves Bodineau, PSG Academy Technical Director at Paris Saint-Germain FC.
Bodineau’s objective is to transfer and implement the European expertise and methodology to the new generation of coaches while understanding the complexity of the brand new and official PSG Academy Program.
The process will take a few months but eventually, the objectives shall be reached so that the training program will equal the same competitive level as in Europe.
PSG Academy program: An elite and unique competitive program designed by the Paris Saint-Germain Headquarters in Paris for the top players in this world.
Neymar Jr, Edinson Cavani, Kilian Mbappe, Di Maria, Thiago Silva have trained at PSG.
PSG Academy recruits high potential players in Broward:
PSG Academy Florida has an extensive record of scouting for high potential players thanks to their first team, Miami’s official Soccer team: FC MIAMI CITY.
Aside from the fact that Technical Director, Wagneau Eloi is moving the training of the 1st team to Plantation, the academy and its first team will expose dozens of players in the coming seasons to the most prestigious Championships, colleges, and professional opportunities.
So far over 20 former players of the 1st team are now playing professionally in the USA or in Europe.
PSG Academy Plantation is already receiving a high volume of player applications to enter the soon-to-be-leading Soccer Club in South Florida, and the staff is expecting to evaluate the highest potential players in Broward County during the Tryouts.
In the meantime, they will host some intensive clinics to show the European way to the Broward community. The objective is to identify possible potential players and send them to Europe.
A bridge from American Soccer to European Football (Soccer)
PSG Academy Florida is looking to reach a higher and bigger milestone in the pursuit of professional soccer by providing 2 options of what European soccer has to offer.
Not only can they send the best players to the Paris Saint-Germain Headquarters in France for scouting, but now thanks to the recent acquisition of a Professional Soccer Training Center in Evian, close to Geneva — the International Center of European Football — every high potential player will be able to train in the facilities.
The most talented youth soccer players may be scouted to join the National U15-U17-U19 teams involved in the most competitive championship in Europe.
PSG Academy — Plantation FC — is providing the opportunity everyone dreams of — being scouted to possibly play soccer in a European League.
Plantation Athletic League Soccer Commissioner, Lee Levenberg says he is “very excited about this new venture with Paris Saint Germain Academy.”
“Plantation FC has always been a club that emphasizes player development, and now we have the opportunity to share that vision with such a prestigious club and organization as PSG Academy,” said Levenberg.
“This partnership will not only create more opportunities and avenues for our players, but it will also facilitate our club and coaching staff to allocate more attention to developing players for college and professional soccer,” added Levenberg.
“PSG Academy Florida has established a strong reputation in the local, national, and international soccer community that we will mirror,” said Levenberg. “I am very impressed with the experience and qualifications of the PSG Academy coaching staff and look forward to our collaborative effort to support PSG Academy Plantation players reach their highest potential.”
Plantation FC Technical Director, Anis Jerbi said: “I firmly believe in player development, and I share a passion with the players to help them fulfill their potential. There is no other feeling like helping young athletes to further develop their natural persistence, determination, discipline, dedication, resilience, work ethic, heart, leadership skills, connection with, and respect for others, not only in competition but in life as well. Today we are excited and honored to share the same vision and roadmap for our kids with such a prestigious club and organization as PSG Academy. This partnership will allow us to create more opportunities and different avenues for our players to pursue their dreams of playing at the highest level possible.”
Owner of Paris Saint-Germain Academy Florida and FC MIAMI CITY, Ravy Truchot declares, ”We are extremely proud to join forces with Plantation FC, one of the most iconic clubs in Broward County, and implement our world-class philosophy and programs. Together, sharing the same values, we will start developing high potential players and offering them the opportunity for a professional soccer career in Europe.”
