Queens Park Rangers FC Technical Director to Speak at NPSL Showcase
Queens Park Rangers FC technical director Chris Ramsey will serve as a guest speaker at the 2017 NPSL Player Showcase set to take place this weekend at the StubHub Center in California. Ramsey made an appearance at the 2015 NPSL Combine Tournament following his tenure as manager of the USL’s Charleston Battery from 2001-2004.

NPSL Soccer News: The National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) announced on Tuesday that Queens Park Rangers FC technical director Chris Ramsey will serve as a guest speaker at the 2017 NPSL Player Showcase. The event will be held January 7-9, 2017, at the StubHub Center in Carson, California.
“We are so excited to have Chris Ramsey as part of the NPSL Showcase,” Showcase Committee Chairman Kenny Farrell remarked. “He brings incredible experience at the highest levels of the game and I know that our players will benefit greatly from his involvement.”
Ramsey served as manager of QPR in 2015 before being named technical director in January 2016. He currently oversees all aspects of coaching and coach education within the club’s academy and is responsible for player development strategies. He also oversees the integration between the academy, development squad, and first team, as well as focusing on the monitoring and reporting of players on loan.
“I’m honored to be invited to the NPSL Showcase,” Ramsey added. “It is always good to see young players achieve their ambitions.”
Ramsey is also known for his success at Tottenham Hotspur, where he served as Head of Player Development. He was eventually appointed as a first team coach where he assisted both Tim Sherwood and Les Ferdinand.
Ramsey has also served as head coach of the England U20 national team in addition to managing the USL’s Charleston Battery from 2001-2004.
He is recognized as one of the game’s top minds in player development, helping to launch the professional careers of dozens of world-class players.
