US Club Soccer Host LaLiga Methodology Course In Oklahoma
US Club Soccer, in partnership with LaLiga, has a dynamic Formation Methodology coaching course. Through nine courses, nearly 1,000 coaches from 325 clubs and organizations have been educated in LaLiga Formation Methodology.
The LaLiga course will be held Jan. 12-14 at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Created to raise the bar on player develpoment in the USA and help coaches improve their education, the three-day LaLiga course provides attendees with comprehensive knowledge and a deeper understanding of European player development.
- LaLiga Formation Methodology Level 3 Course – Hosted by Oklahoma Premier Clubs

The course will be hosted by the Oklahoma Premier Clubs. At its highest level of programming, the Oklahoma Premier Clubs contributes to the Red River NPL, a newly formed league member for the 2017-18 NPL season.
The Oklahoma Premier Clubs consists of seven clubs: NEOFC, Oklahoma Celtic, River Valley FC, South Lakes SC, Stillwater Apex FC, TSC Hurricane and West Side Alliance.
“Getting in-depth exposure into the modern LaLiga methodology is a unique opportunity for our Oklahoma Premier Clubs coaching staff,” said Jim Tindell, Executive Director of TSC Hurricane.
“Learning the methodology that has been adopted by some of the world’s most renowned clubs first hand is truly unprecedented and supports our mission of raising the game,” said Tindell.
“We are excited to be able to bring this course to our Oklahoma Premier Clubs coaches, as well as other coaches in the country,” said Tindell. “Investing in coaching education is a critical component of the Oklahoma Premier Clubs platform.”

The league was formed based on four primary platforms:

- Club, Coach and Referee Development
US Club Soccer’s Players First LaLiga Formation Methodology is a staple of US Club Soccer’s Players First initiative, which is a branded, holistic club soccer experience for parents and players, emphasizing the development of each individual to his or her full potential, and helping parents make better choices about where their children should play.
ABOUT THE COURSE: LaLiga Formation Methodology courses outline the philosophy and methods used across LaLiga to train, develop and form some of the world’s top players.
There are three levels:
- Level 3 is an introduction to the comprehensive development strategies used by the top professional league in the world.
- Level 2 is the intermediate stage
- Level 1 expands further on coaching education methods with time in Spain working directly with Spanish academies.

The 2½-day Level 3 course includes theory and practical sessions both on and off the field. Topics include:
- Methodological Foundations of Training,
- Structure of Training,
- Development of the Training Model,
- Training Tactical Concepts,
- Training Technique,
- System Development and Strategy
- Training Physical Elements.
The course fee also includes a one-year license for each attendee to Kimet Sport – the software for design, control, evaluation and periodization of training sessions used as for the course and by LaLiga academies, including Real Madrid C.F., FC Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, Athletic Bilbao and Sevilla FC.
