Open Session For 2016 England-Spain Tour
San Diego Futsal Academy is organizing a England-Spain Tour in the spring 2016. This event is open to all players from all clubs and affiliations, both U7 to U13 boys and girls.
San Diego Futsal Academy will be taking seven teams on the Europe tour. Players from all over the nation will be considered including Hawaii and the East Coast.
The tour will be lead by Mario Mrakovic, Founder of San Diego Futsal and Jeff Illingworth, San Diego Surf Soccer Club.
2015 Experience
“I never expected to have this much fun. It was so awesome to have almost 50 San Diego Futsal Academy players on our tour from so many different clubs and areas,” said Mrakovic. “I didn’t expect to meet people in Manchester being so overly nice to us the whole time. It was incredible to meet some soccer celebrities, going to Soccer Museum, EPL games, etc. My whole family had a blast, and we all cannot wait to go again next year. The best trip ever.”

England-Spain Trip: March 31 – April 10, 2016
San Diego Futsal has organized tours to England since 1982. Many fun trips since have included boys and girls, plus parents and grandparents, siblings and friends from many areas of the nation.
The tour offers a stay in luxurious Marriott Hotel, as well as usage of luxury charter buses. Comfort and safety secured throughout the entire trip.
This unique trip will introduce players to International soccer at its best, providing outstanding training and playing experiences, as well as being coached by world class coaches, and seen by real Academy Coaches watching and observing.
The last group stayed at the same hotel as the Women’s National soccer team of China, watched them play at Etihad Stadium against the England National team, took photos and got autographs from Victor Valdes of Spain and Manchester United, ran into Robbie Fowler, a legend of F.C. Liverpool, watched Romelu Lukaku of F.C. Everton at a special individual training and saw Wilfried Bony of Ivory Coast.
Why Manchester and Barcelona?
One of Europe’s most dynamic cities and the home of two world known top English Premier League teams Manchester United and Manchester City. Within 30 miles are EPL teams such as Liverpool and Everton. The history and culture of Barcelona make it one of the most visited places in all of Europe. Even to non-soccer fans, the stadium of FC Barcelona team is worth a visit. The best soccer and Futsal are played in Barcelona, it was only natural to improve the experience by adding the destination to the trip. One of our SDF Academy team players was spotted by top English Premier League clubs (Manchester Tour 2015) and was invited to their Academy over the summer for training and tournaments – all costs covered.

Provisional Itinerary – subject to change
Pre-trip training and game competition will begin starting first week of March 2016. San Diego Futsal Academy training and playing gear will be provided for the trip. Parental trip supervision required. Marriott Hotel and daily breakfast included, plus a couple of social event meals and BBQ events. Luxury Bus transportation daily. All social events and entry fees to soccer stadiums, attending EPL game and fun events are covered.
Kids ages 4 or younger are free of charge on this trip.
The Tour is open to players, family, relatives and friends. There is a group size limit for this tour.

Thursday March 31:
Tour starts! Departure to Manchester.
Friday April 1:
Arrival in Manchester. Settling in Marriott Hotel 5 minutes away from the airport! Pool, spa, steam room.
Saturday April 2:
Morning game for all teams. Afternoon attend English Premier League Game.
Sunday April 3:
Alton Towers theme Park all day fun in this incredible attraction!
Monday April 4:
Tour Old Trafford, Manchester United Stadium. Afternoon games for all teams.
Tuesday April 5:
Tour of Anfield, Liverpool’s Stadium. Afternoon games all teams.
Wednesday April 6:
Flight to Barcelona. Early evening training session all teams.
Thursday April 7:
Tour Camp Nou, F.C. Barcelona’s Stadium. City Tour of beautiful Barcelona Town. Evening practice session.
Friday April 8:
Morning training with top Catalan Pro-coaches. Afternoon relax in fantastic facilities-pools, spas. Mini round robin tournament.
Saturday April 9:
Games for all teams against local Spanish soccer teams.
Sunday April 10:
Tour ends – Departure home.
