U8 Spring League A Success & Cal South National Cup
Celebrating soccer and giving the youngest of our youth a boost of confidence while having fun
Over 150 U8 Boys & Girls enjoyed playing weekly 4v4 soccer games this past Spring as part of the Santa Barbara SC program. The players and games were guided by a combination of professional coaches and current players from Santa Barbara SC. The current players served as mentors and referees for the players and games, while the coaches managed the playing environment allowing the players to play and own the game as much as possible.
The final games took place last Friday with players from the current Mens & Womens UCSB Soccer teams in attendance to celebrate with the players.
Girls & Boys U17 White Progress to the Final Four of the Cal South National Cup
Santa Barbara SC Boys U17 White coached by Rudy Ybarra progressed to the Final Four after a hard fought game against the Fullerton Rangers that ended in a PK shoot out. Goalkeeper Lalo Delgado put in a tremendous performance to help his team through to the next round.
BU17 White have already qualified for the National event in July after finishing in first place in the National League.
Santa Barbara SC Girls U17 White coached by Austin Reisenhoover won their Round of 16 and round of 8 Games this past weekend to progress to the Final Four of the Cal South National Cup. Only the second time in the clubs history that a girls team as made it this far in prestigious event. The girls had two 3-2 wins against 18th ranked Fram CQ and 28th ranked La Galaxy South Bay this past weekend. They face Beach FC in the Semi Final now, Beach are the #1 ranked team in the state and Region.
GU17 White are looking to win National Cup and Qualify for Regionals in their campaign for a National Title.
