San Diego Futsal Announces 2017 Croatia Tour
The benefits of traveling abroad to play soccer allows for players to experience the culture and dedication that other countries have for the beautiful game. San Diego Futsal has organized a trip during the summer of 2017 that will take members of its academy abroad to train and play against local Croatian clubs.
SD Futsal is looking for talent to represent its organization and put their skills to the test with its first informational meeting scheduled on November 15th.
Futsal News: San Diego Futsal has announced its latest soccer tour to Croatia scheduled for the summer of 2017. The two-week trip will be from Sunday, June 18th-Sunday, July 2nd with Pag, Zadar and Zagreb serving as destinations.
The SD Futsal Academy Program is looking for competitive soccer players to travel to play with top notch european youth soccer teams and coaches including Mali Vatreni, Tekstilac, Dinamo Zagreb, Futsal Dinamo and other international tournament competition.
Traveling players and families will train with one of the top youth soccer coaches – Vlado Novak, who will be the main coaching support during the trip.
San Diego Futsal hosted a trip in 2015 to Manchester, England that received tremendous praise from those that attended.
“The first trip was to Manchester, England with Coach Jeff Illingworth two years ago where we had around 100 people with us. It was a magical trip, all stars aligned, it was perfect,” said San Diego Futsal Founder and Director Mario Mrakovic.
Mrakovic describes the trip as having a family-atmosphere that welcomes individuals open to new experiences and will enjoy themselves during their travels.
“My idea is to have parents and players laugh and joke — I want to wow them. I want the players and their families to experience the beauty of the nature, taste the culinary mastery and be exposed to highest level of coaching and playing European style of youth soccer,” said Mrakovic.
Mrakovic founded San Diego Futsal in 1995 after a career of coaching at the youth level. He also played for Zagreb FC’s youth academy program during his youth years.
Mrakovic describes international trips as being beneficial to more than just soccer, with his youth experiences something he will always remember.
“I remember my trips to Barcelona, Vienna, Munich, Athens, Milan and other places in Europe when I was young,” said Mrakovic.
“I bring a lot of passion to soccer — I function on adrenaline that I can trace back to the wonderful trips I took as a youngster,” said Mrakovic. “I can only speak for myself, but so many people have shared positive feedback on our last trip — with the constant question, “When do we go to Croatia?”
Although the trip is specifically for boys, parents are advised to contact San Diego Futsal if their daughter is advanced for her age to discuss her playing ability. See contact information below.
San Diego Futsal will be holding an informational Q&A event in two weeks to discuss the expectations and schedule for the trip.
