The 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada has kicked off and the USA women have won their first match (defeating Australia, 3-1 in their 2015 Women’s World Cup opener) and are ready to take on Sweden in Winnipeg tomorrow. The United States head coach, Jill Ellis, has done an amazing job of preparing our Women’s National squad, a team of amazing depth with highly experienced players mixed with younger players.
The USA Team Wants You! Jump on your social media and tell your the team and you favorite player you care and wish them success.
Was the team’s performance against Australia perfect? Maybe not, but when the team takes on Sweden it has to be different. “All those things that you see in the first game, we got out of our system,” said midfielder Tobin Heath.
What can we do? We can jump on our social media and believe. To make it easier, we have listed the social media links for our SoccerToday readers.
#SHEBELIEVES is the new cry – and the call is to get on your social media and show these fabulous women you believe too. It is important to let these women — who represent the USA on the soccer battle field — that you believe in them and all you have to do is jump on your social media. Just tag #SHEBELIEVES and follow the players on this amazing journey.
Use the Twitter #SheBelieves and #USA Hashflags and build on the sensation.
Use #SheBelieves for a United States themed SHE flag emoji and use #USA to populate an American flag maple leaf throughout the Women’s World Cup this summer. The hashflags will only appear once your tweet is published. Alex Morgan has even been on her Facebook reaching out to fans and making new friends before leaving with the team for Canada. Morgan wants everyone to get involved and spent time in LA last month to create a special mural and kick off the Pass the Love campaign.
