Soccer News: Romelu Lukaku, international football sensation, has chosen to sign a long-term partnership with PUMA FOOTBALL.
Romelu Lukaku, 25 years old, is one of the world’s top strikers and at this young age is already the highest scorer of all time for the Belgian national team.
In the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Lukaku played in five matches, scoring 4 goals and 1 assist before his country was knocked out.
According to FIFA, “Now the all-time leading goalscorer in the history of Les Diables Rouges, Romelu Lukaku has won the football world over with his impressive statistics and drive and determination.”
A Belgian professional footballer, he plays as a striker for English club Manchester United.
This 25-year-old, 6’3″ millionaire player proudly wears the #9 when playing for club and country. The Antwerp, Belgium born striker ranks as the 10th-most expensive Association Football transfer — earning a reported £75 M, from Everton to Manchester United in 2017.
Lukaku has now decided to venture off the field to partner with PUMA as a strategic move to develop his career.
“Choosing an exclusive sportswear brand to work with is an important decision, not just for the boots on the pitch but for my goals and desires off of it. I look forward to hustling with the big cat in the future,” says Lukaku.
“Romelu is not only a hugely relevant, elite player due to his outstanding goalscoring record. We believe he is also a role model for a new generation.”
Those are the words of Adam Petrick, PUMA Global Director of Brand and Marketing. Petrick went on to say that “Romelu is an emerging icon who has his finger on the pulse of fashion and music. We are excited to partner with him on a wide range of projects across the PUMA brand.”
