Speed to Burn Fueled By Octane Performance Training – Soccer Development Academy
Paul Wright, Founder of Speed to Burn along with Gino Crump, Founder of Octane Performance Training, will be instructing a development academy for all high-level soccer athletes. This program is geared towards athletes who are also looking to better themselves on and off the field. The development academy will consist of athletic training and academic focuses for all participants.
Soccer News: Speed To Burn founder Paul Wright has partnered with Gino Crump, founder of Octane Performance Training to offer a development academy for all high-level soccer athletes.
For many Southern California soccer fans, Wright is the most well known, legendary player of the indoor game. Wright has multiple championship rings from his years of scoring goals for the San Diego Sockers. What many do not realize is Wright is also a trainer of both professional athletes and elite youth players.
With 18 years of professional soccer experience, Wright understands the physical requirements of competing at the highest level. He has used this experience to develop strategies that teach other athletes how to enhance their performance and reach their full potential. Throughout his career Wright was known for his speed, and he saw first hand the benefits of being faster and more agile than his opponents.
Crump was a walk-on at both West Virginia University and the University of Arizona (8th All-Time in Receptions in a Single Season) and the odds were against him. Before playing Division-1 football, Crump attended Junior College and Preparatory School at Glendale Community College and Fork Union Military Academy, with the vision of playing in the NFL, which became a reality in 2012. In the midst of his journey to the NFL, Crump was afforded the opportunities to train with many of the best strength and conditioning staffs in America, amassing a wealth of knowledge about performance training and strength and conditioning along the way.
This special speed and soccer academy will incorporate technical training and ball skills into speed techniques; combining the two most important elements for successful player development. Crump will work on the speed portion of the training while Wright focuses on soccer development.
The Octane Performance Training System empowers athletes to realize their true athletic potential. “With the level of competition rising in modern day sports, adopting a strict training regiment is mandatory to compete at a high level,” said Crump.
Wright looks forward to sharing his decades of professional soccer experience and helping youth players enhance their technique and skills on the field. “My expertise enhances the players performance capability, technique and agility. Knowing the right decisions to make and a player’s reaction time are very critical on the soccer field. Players need to know how and when to explode on the field and how to properly control the ball,” said Wright.
Wright and Crump are looking for players who are highly competitive, want to make it on the professional circuit or move on to the next level of their performance. If you are a dedicated elite youth soccer player who wants to improve, this is a great experience.
