College Recruit Testimonials
“Hawaii’s ‘Best of the Best’ College ID camp was the best I have been to. It was organized, professional, and had a high quality staff ensuring the camp went smoothly. The camp gave the player’s the opportunity to be trained by collegiate coaches, as well as the opportunity to be seen in games. The coaches were well taken care of, the facilities were beautiful, and the quality of players was very high. This event is fantastic and I can’t wait until the next one!” Tracy Hamm, San Francisco State University.
“The Hawaii ID Camp provides an environment where college coaches have ample time to watch games in their entirety and the best possible opportunity to truly get an evaluation of players from Hawaii. The success of the event and the quality of players continue to provide a great incentive to participate in such a great event.” Sandy Davison, Washington State University.
“I was very impressed with the coaching staff you assembled – it was a pleasure to work alongside so many quality people. It was nice to be able to attend a camp where I could see so many players – all in the same place. The hospitality your volunteers and staff showed all of us college coaches is truly a great example of the Aloha Spirit and I look forward to participating again next year!” Michele Nagamine, University of Hawai’i.
“I have attended other camps and many do a great job of promoting the athletes, but the Hawaii surf camp allowed myself to meet the player and see just how dedicated to the sport of soccer they are. The camp was ran exceptionally well and the talent was fantastic. Many schools from all divisions have seen what past athletes from the hawaiian islands can do and now there is a battle to land these top student- athletes. I will be attending this camp for years to come and look forward to adding these players to my family that I have created at Eastern Oregon University.” Stan Rodrigues, Eastern Oregon University.
“I loved working this camp. The set up was good allowing for us coaches to team up and run sessions, and do some on our own. Then follow that up with scrimmage games. The campers were all very gracious, happy and nice and were excited to learn. This was a top notch camp for how well we were treated as staff not only from those running the camp, but from the campers as well. The talent level was good and we got to see what we needed to from the players who competed. I would highly recommend this camp again for both players and coaches alike.” Justin Wagar, Eastern Oregon Univesity, Women’s Head Coach.
“We have been attending the Hawaii College ID Camp for a couple of years now. Having the ability to not only observe but work with such a concentrated group of talented players is very rarely found. For both the coaches and the players the ability to work multiple days together creates a atmosphere where everybody is a winner and guarantees everyone involved coming out of it with something gained.” Grant Williams, Oregon State University.
“Thank you for a great recruiting opportunity. To work with your club, get to know, and see the personalities of the players. For me the schedule was perfect, we could see the individual skills, and how the players performed in games. I walked away with a list of players to watch from this year’s graduates all the way to 2022. Your hospitality was great, and I feel like this is something we should do each year.” Peter Fewing, Seattle University Soccer.
“The camp was professional in every aspect. I believe it was a great experience for the players and equally great for the staff. The hospitality of your staff and volunteers was amazing and they made all of the coaches feel very welcome, from the moment we arrived. As for the players, the level was very high and I thought the players worked very hard and were extremely coach able and always respectful,” Michael Needham, University of Rhode Island.
“This was a great event that allowed numerous mainland coaches wonderful exposure to a lot of the Hawaiian players. It was very organized and we were well taken care of, from the moment we touched ground to our final departure. Thank you and we look forward to participating, again, in future years.” Lev Kirshner, San Diego State University.
