San Diego’s Surf SC Hosts College ID Camp for Girls
There is a lot that goes into being prepared to play college soccer. It is important to be a player that excels in all four corners – technical, tactical, physical, psychological – however players at this phase have to receive exposure in order shine above the rest.
San Diego’s Surf Soccer Club and its professional coaching staff will be hosting a Residential College ID Camp for non-committed girls, in 8th – 12th grade. The ID Camp is expected to attract more than 20 college soccer recruits from across the country and has been designed to expose each player to all levels of college soccer: NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA and Junior Colleges.
Players will spend three intense days and evenings being trained and evaluated by college coaches and have the opportunity to learn the pathway to being a college athlete and maximizing scholarship opportunities.
“The Surf College ID Camp is a great opportunity not only for the girls to be seen by college coaches from different levels of college soccer, but to see for themselves what a college training session is like, as well be able to hear what college coaches have to say about the whole college experience,” said Pauly Dolinsky, Girls Assistant Director for Surf SC.

“I believe there are three facets of choosing the school that is right for you (academics, social, and athletic). All girls place a different level of emphasis on each, but it is very important to have a happy balance,” adds Dolinsky. “It is the goal of the Surf College ID Camp to provide as much information as possible in a three day camp to assist the girls with this choice.”
